The Pink Moon in Libra, 2026: April Fools, Fools in Love, and Remembering to Balance.
This April 1st, at 7:11 pm pacific time, the full moon will be taking place at 12 degrees Libra, with Venus stationed in Taurus. There is lots of energy of love and pleasure surrounding this full moon, and it is the perfect time to reflect on love, relationships, beauty, and pleasure. Some people may find it the perfect moment to spend quality time with a partner, and enjoy some needed down time together. It would also be a good time to reflect on the balance of partner relationships, and see if the scales have been tipping too far in one direction or another. If you find yourself giving too much in a relationship, and have been waiting for the perfect time to ask your partner for something that will help you, do it now. If you reflect and find that you may not be giving enough in your relationship, then find something now to volunteer that will ease your partner’s load.
This full moon will be taking place in the second decan of Libra, which is represented in Tarot as the 3 of swords. That card can be one of my least favorite cards to see in a Tarot spread, and I find it often signifies having a difficult conversation in a relationship. So maybe, if you have been seeing things fall out of balance in your life, its time to sit down with your partner (or yourself) and get ahead of the deadline of whatever hard conversation may be coming. I.E. if you’ve been falling into domestic struggles, sit down together and make the chore chart, the meal plan, or the budget, before it blows up into a fight. The three of swords is much more heartbreaking if it takes you by surprise, so it’s better to accept life’s difficulties and be proactive to take back your control. While there is room for ironing out difficulties on this full moon, there is also lots of room for pleasure, and for the seeds of love to start growing as well. Libra reminds us that everything must be balanced, and that means fun, just as much as it means work. So while you make the chore chart and the budget, make plans to reward yourselves with fun, play, and pleasure. Life is hard, but life is also good, and you deserve to feel good. This full moon does take place on April Fools day after all, so some time for laughter is absolutely required!
The spell-work I recommend for this full moon, is work around love and beauty. This is the day to do love spells, glamour and beauty spells, or to begin a journey of bodily enhancement. If you missed out on New Year’s resolutions to get stronger or eat better food, this full moon is a great time to begin. In your manifestations, focus on the Libran scales, and reaching your goal through balancing. Add a bit of self love, remove a bit of shame, add a new habit, release an old blockage, until balance is achieved, and you have made sustainable change.
In the spirit of embracing, pleasure, and play, this full moon circle for Spirit Night Coven will be a potion making night. We’ll have a lemonade or iced tea base, and lots of ingredients to add to make drinkable potions.
